Dorset is the place to be if you want to enjoy a healthy and wealthy retirement, new research by Prudential has found. The county has been named the best place to retire to, closely followed by West Sussex and Herefordshire. Prudential’s Quality of Retirement Index looks at seven different sets of data to compile the list. This includes access to healthcare, crime levels, average pension income and the weather. Insidermonkey experts made a list of best places to retire in Great Britain.
The research also looked into the number of pensioners as a proportion of the county’s populations. The aim here is to establish how many people a pensioner would have to socialize with to minimize the chances of loneliness.
