There are so many things children can learn by starting to study these fields, especially if this is done through games and other fun activities. As it is, New York City offers dozens of options for those looking to enroll their children into this type of summer camp, with weekly tuition that go for quite a few hundred dollars. Overnight options are available for older kids, but for the most part, you’ll get to take your kid to camp in the morning and get them back in the evening, all after a day spent full of interesting activities. Learning about science, technology, engineering and math can be quite exciting and open up a child’s world in so many ways, so Insidermonkey experts made a list of 10 science and STEM camps for kids in NYC.
We have picked one camp from their list. The Brooklyn Robot Foundry has a really cool camp set out this summer, seeking to engage kids with engineering concepts and hands-on building. The camps are dedicated for 1st to 4th graders for all weeks, although kids through 7th grade are welcomed for Programmers Weeks. For July and August, the camp offers full week sessions from 9 AM to 3 PM, with extended day option until 6 PM starting July 5th, for an extra $30. The camps that take place in July and August alternate between Robot Discovery and Robot Explorers. Another exciting detail is that for one week in August only girls can participate.
