Nowadays everything takes experience. We can go to expensive schools and universities, we spend years studying and trying to secure our future and end up in huge financial debts. And then when we finally graduate and walk out of school with fresh knowledge ready to put it to a good use, we get rejected because we don’t have enough experience. There is probably nothing more depressing for a young individual who is trying to start a life of their own than to be rejected because he or she is too young to have experience. No one wants to hire us because we are inexperienced, but we can’t get experience because no one wants to hire us. It may sound funny but it is certainly not, though one may laugh ironically. It never seizes to amaze me how employers are willing to neglect the fact that we may be talented or intelligent or quick learners, simply because we haven’t had the opportunity to fill our CV with previous jobs. They expect candidates who are already familiar with all the procedures and that can only jump in and pick up from there.
