Every season has its definitive, nostalgia-inducing scent. In summer, it’s the balmy combination of warm air, sunscreen and barbecue; come spring you’re likely to get a whiff of fresh air and fresh laundry. It’s harder, though, to pinpoint winter’s signature scent. There is that distinct smell of firewood permeating people’s homes or the baked goods wafting from someone’s oven or another. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year to go on a candle binge. With the weather starting to cool off, I find nothing more comforting than wrapping up in a warm blanket and get lost in a good book. The only thing that can make it better is having a good fall candle burning alongside me.
