Plastic surgery is becoming more popular around the world and in America. In fact, there are some U.S. cities that are leading the way more than others. Beverly Hills may have a plastic reputation but it’s actually Miami that’s home to the most plastic surgeons per capita, according to Real Self data. We computed the number of plastic surgeons per capita at the metro level to see which had the highest concentration of plastic surgeons. Here’s what Insidermonkey experts found about the 5 US cities with the highest plastic surgery rates.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reported that in 2014 there were 15,622,866 cosmetic procedures performed in the United States. This made America one of the top countries for plastic and cosmetic procedures. What’s surprising is that most people think our home – NYC – would have been one that contributed at the top of the list, but surprisingly that’s not true. Actually, plastic surgery in NYC didn’t even make the top five. This information does tell us that many more people are choosing plastic and cosmetic surgery to enhance their beauty. People from the east to west coast are taking advantage of both minimally-invasive and standard surgical procedures so they can feel better about the way they look. We are happy about that because we love helping people feel happy and confident about their looks. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised to see America being among the top 11 countries with the highest plastic surgery rates in the world.
