10 Countries that Export The Most Beef in The World

India is projected to be the largest exporter of beef in the world in 2016 followed by Brazil & Australia. Four countries are projected to export more than 1 million metric tons of beef in 2016:  India, Brazil, Australia & the United States. India, Brazil, Australia and the United States account for roughly 68% of the world's exports. India retains its top spot as the world’s largest exporter of beef, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and has extended its lead over the next highest exporter, Brazil. Global sales from fresh beef exporting countries totaled US$21.1 billion in 2015, while the value of frozen beef shipments was even higher at $22.5 billion. Overall, the value of fresh beef exports were down by an average -2% for all exporting countries since 2011 when fresh beef shipments were valued at $21.5 billion. In contrast, the value of frozen beef exports rose by an average 26.7% for all exporting countries since 2011 when frozen beef shipments were valued at $17.7 billion.
