What makes
a country healthy? – This question is quite ambiguous. For example, let’s take
the word “healthy”. When we hear this word we automatically connect it to a
person, animal or in other words referring to living beings. With humans, “healthy” refers to the general condition
of a person's mind and body, usually meaning to be free from illness, injury or
pain, but what is the meaning of the word “healthy” when it refers to a
country? – Well, the answer is not that
hard to figure out, it refers to the country’s life expectancy statistics, and
we can say without a doubt that a healthy country is a country with high life
expectancy rates. The life expectancy rates defer in every country,
which is quite logical. They depend mostly on the healthcare systems of the
target country, and that’s why the
healthcare systems are struggling to improve their quality day by day. Despite this, the life expectancy rates depend on other
influential factors such as the suicide rates, terrorist attacks and
environmental calamities.
Have you
ever asked yourself what are the healthiest
countries in the world, have you ever even considered about this
subject? – I know I have, and with some research I discovered some interesting
facts that captured my attention. One of those facts is that a developed
country like France found its place at the bottom of the list of healthiest
countries. This was an interesting fact because when you think of
France, its “health” is the last thing that comes to mind.
